2. Using this website

By using christoffel.co.za you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. You may use the site for lawful purposes only, and you may not try to disrupt it, gain unauthorised access to it or use it to send spam or harmful code.

3. Information on the site

We work hard to keep the information on this site accurate and up to date, but it is for general information only. Prices, packages and timelines shown on the site are guides and may change. Your final price, scope and timeline are set out in the written quote or proposal we send you.

4. Quotes, the free preview and projects

Our free 5-day website preview comes with no obligation. You only pay once you accept a written quote or proposal. Each project is governed by that quote or proposal and any agreement we sign with you, which take priority over these website terms. Monthly plans run strictly month to month, with no fixed-term contract. Section 12 explains how plans, fair use and cancelling work.

5. Intellectual property

All content on this site, including text, designs, graphics, logos and images, belongs to Christoffel or is used with permission. You may not copy, reproduce or reuse it without our written consent. Client logos and work shown in our case studies belong to those clients and are shown with their permission.

6. Links to other websites

This site links to other websites, including our clients' sites. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices or availability of those websites.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, including the Consumer Protection Act, Christoffel is not liable for any loss or damage that arises from your use of this website or from relying on information on it. The site is provided "as is", and we do not guarantee that it will always be available or error-free.

8. Privacy

We handle your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

9. Electronic communications

Information about Christoffel required by section 43 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 is set out in section 1 above.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

12. Monthly plans, fair use and cancelling

Once-off and monthly fees. Your website has a once-off build fee and a monthly fee. The once-off fee covers designing and building your site. The monthly fee covers hosting, backups, security updates, support and the care included in your plan, and is paid by debit order.

Strictly month to month. There is no contract and no minimum term. You can cancel at any time, with no penalties and no cancellation fees. Tell us before your next debit date and you will not be charged again. The once-off build fee is non-refundable, as the work has been done.

Fair use. Your monthly fee covers reasonable day-to-day updates: text and image changes, new blog posts and small fixes. If requests regularly go beyond that, or involve new pages or features, we will talk to you first and quote the extra work separately. We are happy to be flexible. This simply keeps things fair for every client.

If you cancel. Hosting ends and your website goes offline when your last paid month ends. We keep a private archive of your site for 6 months. If you would like to come back within that time, we can restore it by restarting your monthly plan, with no new once-off fee. After 6 months we may delete the archive. Your domain name always stays yours.

Taking your site with you. You can always leave. Your domain name and your content are yours. If you would like to take the finished website with you, we can transfer the Framer project to your own account for a once-off buyout fee: 3 times the original once-off fee in the first 12 months, 2 times from month 13 to 24, and 1 time after that. Your monthly fees must be up to date and the buyout fee is paid before the transfer, which we complete within about 10 working days. After the transfer you pay Framer directly and our monthly support ends. A buyout is available while your site is live or within the 6-month archive period.
