Yes — with the way modern website builds work, you should never be permanently locked out of your own site. Once your website is live, you should have full editor access to update text, swap images, and add new content yourself, without needing to go back to your designer for every small change.
How This Actually Works
Every client working with us gets full CMS (content management system) access to their own website once it launches. That means you can log in, edit pages, update your blog, and change images directly — the same kind of access you'd expect from any modern website platform, just built around a custom design instead of a template. The Jan-Kat-Lemoen hosts publish their own posts and episodes exactly this way.

What do I still need a developer for?
Structural changes — a new page layout, a new section type, or custom functionality — still need a developer, the same way changing a shop's floor plan is a different job from restocking the shelves. Day-to-day content, though, stays entirely in your hands.
What Happens Long-Term?
After launch, you get to choose how the relationship continues: some clients prefer an ongoing monthly arrangement for hosting and support, while others prefer a one-time transfer of the full project so they own it outright going forward. Neither path locks you into anything you haven't agreed to.
